The officers of Brawl would first like to thank everyone who could attend the guild meeting. Without you, the members, none of this would be possible.

After the meeting, the officers discussed what we felt were the three main issues brought up during the meeting. First, it was suggested that we incorporate some ZA loot into the Loot Council system. Second, there was a big question regarding the distribution of what we're going to call "Lateral Upgrades", i.e., a piece of gear that has situational value greater than the currently geared item (such as a haste item for a haste set, or a resist set). And third, our stand on mains/alts for raid purposes.

There were a couple minor topics covered that we will address below, after the main items are covered.

1. LOOT COUNCIL -- ZA ITEMS:
The officers have reviewed the various loot tables and thought carefully about the level of each piece of gear from each boss and each timed chest. Below is the list of items added to Loot Council beyond T5 and the DST. This list may change as facts are presented:

All rings from Timed Chest #3
All trinkets from Hexlord Malacross and Zul'Jin (with the exception of the Tiny Voodoo Mask, which will be rolled for, either as a Greed Roll or Raid Roll)
Blade of Twisted Visions, Zul'Jin
Head of Hexing, Hexlord Malacross
Hood of the Third Eye, Hexlord Malacross

2. LOOT COUNCIL -- LATERAL UPGRADES:
It was brought to our attention that Lateral Upgrades should be a consideration greater than offset upgrades. To this, we agree. Oftentimes, however, these side upgrades can be considered a major and significant main set upgrade for someone else. To resolve this issue, we have decided to extend the call for mainset upgrades to also include lateral upgrades. During the looting phase, the Loot Master will call for links in officer (/o) for both Main Set and Lateral Upgrades (simultaneously). When you link your piece of gear, please make it clear whether it is a main set or lateral upgrade. If you are posting for a lateral upgrade, also please briefly describe in as few words as possible, how it is a situational piece. For example: [link of current gear] lateral upgrade, haste set.

The Loot Council will give every consideration for Lateral Upgrades. We would like to note, however, that main set still has priority under the Loot Council conditions.

3. ALTS AND MAINS -- RAIDING:
There has been some significant issue over the fact that alts are not getting raid positions. Since we are an active raiding and an active recruiting guild, group compositions are always in flux. We cannot always guarantee raid positions to alts for this reason. The question we asked ourselves: Does someone's alt have more priority than someone who only has one toon? The short answer: No.

What we are going to ask is that everyone with more than 1 raid-eligible toon please pick their main. If any toon can multi-function (such as a paladin with a tanking/healing/dps set), we ask that the player pick the main spec. This will help us keep classes a bit more organized. It seriously puts us in a bad position when players insist on raiding on their alt, or off-spec, for whatever reason.

The other end of this two-sided discussion is about the guild asking someone to come on their alt, or off-spec, to a raid. To this end, the guild will cover any respec fees associated with the raid. This does NOT mean that the guild will cover respecs for players to their main spec if they are expected to raid with their main spec. It is not this guild's policy or in its best interest to reward players who are not prepared.

If there are questions or comments regarding the 3 main points discussed above, please speak with the GL or any of the officers.

As for the last two minor points, we wanted to keep you posted on the raid advisory channels and any upcoming guild meetings.

The raid advisory channels are small local chat channels set up during 25-man raid situations. The purpose of these channels are to group together each raider by task: tank, healer, ranged dps, melee dps. These channels are open forum such that questions pertaining to the task may be asked freely without clogging up the raid chat or vent. While it's the raid leader's job to make sure that everything is running smoothly, most questions can often be answered by someone else without having to distract the raid leader from the task at hand. It's also a good way for people to organize themselves without the afforementioned clutter.

The channels are listed in the Guild Information section of the Guild Tab. But for convenience, we will list them here:

Tanks- Brawltankers
Healers- Brawlhealers
Range- Brawlrangedps
Melee- Brawlmelee

Upon invitation to the raid, please join the appropriate channel by typing /join Channelname. For example, /join Brawltankers. After the raid, you can leave the channel by typing /leave Channelname.

And as for future Guild Meetings. We think it's definitely a good idea to have recurring guild meetings. We haven't quite decided how to space them out yet, either once a month or every two months, but once we get better situated, Guild Meetings will be advertised in the Guild Message of the Day, and scheduled on Group Calendar.

Again, any questions or comments, please feel free to contact the GL or one of the officers. Thanks for your time, everyone, and thank you for the contributions.

NOTE: REGARDING THE MAIN/ALT GUILD DISCUSSION:

There will be cases where individuals may wish to change their Main, or their Main Spec. If a player wishes to do so, please approach the GL or officer with the request. We will need to look at raid composition, gear, ability, and presence.

We cannot guarantee that a change between main/alt or spec will lock in raid attendance.

The point we wish to make is that unless we are short on a certain class, changing mains or specs can often put us in a position where we are short. For instance, a resto shaman wanting to change his spec to ele or enh needs to consider that we might be short on healers. And a respec to ele or enh may not guarantee getting into a raid because we might already have our range/melee dps situated.
